Bikes for Tykes of Tulsa, Inc.

Founded in 2008, Bikes for Tykes of Tulsa initially depended solely on support from friends and family. Our first year we proudly donated 22 bikes to Family & Children's Services during Christmas. However, in the past 3 years, our support and donations have exponentially grown and we were able to raise more than $25,000 in 2011 and donated nearly 400 bicycles to children around the Tulsa area. We have found supporters in organizations such as Pepsi, Safe Kids, Tulsa Drillers and local businesses. Bikes for Tykes has given away hundreds of bicycles and helmets to local at-risk schools, foster care programs, obesity conferences and area fitness events and remain faithful donors to Family & Children's Services during the holiday season.

While our support has increased, so have our goals. We continue to look for generous businesses who are able to donate time, fundraising supplies, and financial means to support the hundreds of children who still have the dream of riding their very own bicycle. In 2012, Bikes for Tykes of Tulsa hopes to double our previous year with a fundraising goal of $50,000, resulting in approximately 800 bicycles.
